Måns Zelmerlöw Makes a Triumphant Return to Melodifestivalen

By Jungle TelegraphFebruary 22, 2025 Article 326 Views

Måns Zelmerlöw makes an exciting comeback to Melodifestivalen after a decade with his new song «Revolution».

Celebrating a Comeback

After a decade-long hiatus, Måns Zelmerlöw returns to Melodifestivalen, igniting excitement among fans. Today 22 February, he graces the stage in Malmö, Sweden with his electrifying new song, «Revolution». This marks his first competition entry since his remarkable victory with «Heroes» in 2015, a moment that catapulted him to Eurovision fame and established his international career.

A Fresh Direction

Måns expressed his sentiments about this comeback, stating, «I haven’t felt that any song was right until now. «Revolution» is energetic and arena-compatible, and I hope the audience feels as passionate about it as I do». The song is a collaboration with David Lindgren Zacharias, Ola Svensson, and Sebastian Atas. Remarkably, Måns made a bold decision to scrap their initial ideas and start anew, leading to the song’s successful crafting. The moment he suggested the title «Revolution», the creative process took a transformative turn.

Looking Ahead

Alongside «Revolution», Måns will also introduce «Broken» and an acoustic rendition, highlighting his deep emotional journey. He describes «Broken» as one of his most personal works, revealing, «2024 was a tough year for me personally, but music became a safe place». As Melodifestivalen holds a cherished place in his heart, Måns is eager to return to the stage: «To be able to create a number where every second counts – that’s something I’ve missed. It’s going to be really fun to compete again!» Don’t miss his much-anticipated performance today as Måns Zelmerlöw returns to the spotlight.
