Exploring Vulnerability Through Music: Metropolen’s New Release

-

Experience the emotional resonance of Metropolen's live performance at By:larm, showcasing Tobias Gitar's poignant song «Clean Fit, Fin Anledning».

The Emotional Moment of Metropolen

During their live performances at By:larm in September, the Norwegian newcomer group Metropolen delivered a concert that left a lasting impact. Among the electrifying moments, one stood out—Tobias Gitar taking the stage alone with his guitar, performing the deeply vulnerable song «Clean Fit, Fin Anledning». This moment resonated strongly with both the audience present and those sharing the experience on social media.

A Journey of Grief and Self-Reflection

Tobias expressed that «Clean Fit, Fin Anledning» is a heartfelt exploration of grief, longing, and self-reflection. The song stems from personal experiences, particularly the loss of his father, which influenced his journey into adulthood. Addressing life’s challenges and the tendency to escape from problems, he aimed to create a track that seeks connection and understanding.

Metropolen’s New Direction

As part of the artistic collective Metropolen, which includes talents such as Smul, Balder, and producers Trym, Eirik, and Jonas, this new release is a shift from their usual sound. It unveils a deeper, more authentic side of their musical landscape. The collective’s debut earlier this year with the self-named song marked their entry into the vibrant Norwegian music scene, and now, «Clean Fit, Fin Anledning» paves the way for further exploration of complex themes within their art.

The music video are also found on Youtube.

Music of Scandinavia playlist can be found on Spotify as well.
