Introducing Dad Harmony
In 2023, the acapella group Dad Harmony from Skellefteå, Sweden, took the world by storm. With their infectious blend of voices and joyful spirit, they have quickly become a beloved musical sensation. Now, they are set to embark on their first European tour, coinciding with the release of their debut Christmas EP, «Harmony for the Holidays», on 15th November 2024.
Christmas Spirit Through Music
Dad Harmony‘s mission is simple: to spread joy and the essence of Christmas through their music. They expressed their excitement, saying, «Finally we are releasing our first EP that we have been working hard on since last spring. Christmas is a little bit of acapella music’s holiday, and it feels incredibly fun to be able to release interpretations of these well-known Christmas songs». This EP includes delightful renditions of classics like «O Come All Ye Faithful» and «All I Want for Christmas», showcasing their unique arrangements and harmonious vocals.
A Viral Beginning
The journey of Dad Harmony began surprisingly at a stag party. A group of dads filmed themselves performing acapella in a hot tub, posting the video on TikTok. This clip rapidly went viral, capturing the attention of the public and international artists alike. Their ability to breathe new life into classic Christmas songs not only impressed audiences but also led to invitations to prestigious TV programs such as Kelly Clarkson’s show.
