-

Join Brettello in bringing authentic cultural narratives to life through his innovative songwriting.

Exploring Musical Inspirations

Brettello’s recent single, «Vi är här för att stanna», marks a significant moment in his artistic journey, blending the world of music and linguistics. Inspired by his experiences studying various languages, Brettello sought to capture the essence of different cultures in his work. His passion for languages led him to delve into the Swedish language, drawing not only from his academic background in linguistics but also from his personal life. Having been in a long-term relationship with someone from Sweden, Brettello’s connection to the culture runs deep, fuelling his desire to create music that resonates with listeners across Europe.

The European Influence

Brettello’s album, «Euro Dream», embodies his commitment to showcasing diverse musical traditions. This project is a celebration of European culture, and his choice of Swedish is a testament to the influence of his past relationships and education. He has immersed himself in various languages throughout his college years, learning Spanish, Italian, German, French, Japanese, and Korean. This eclectic background enables him to approach songwriting with a unique perspective, producing tracks that are not only musically rich but also culturally authentic.

A Word on Eurovision

As he continues to explore the realm of international music, Brettello expressed enthusiasm for competitions like Eurovision. He appreciates the fun and creativity these contests bring to the music scene. When I left him, he was researching Melodifestivalen, Sweden’s music festival that leads to Eurovision. Will we see him in Melodifestivalen 2026? Only time will tell. This reflects his commitment to engaging with the broader European music community while emphasising his craft.
